Usage and Limits
Each Taxlytic plan has limits on the number of clients and document extractions. Here is how to monitor your usage and understand what happens when you approach or exceed those limits.
Client limits

When you exceed your client limit, you can still accept new clients. Each additional client beyond your limit is billed at $5 per client, which includes document extractions matching your plan limit.
Document limits
Each client includes a number of document extractions at no extra cost, depending on your plan: Standard includes 3, Tax Season includes 10, and Premium includes 15. Additional documents beyond your plan limit are billed at $1.50 each.
Monitoring your usage
Your current usage is displayed on the Billing page:
- Current client count vs. plan limit
- Total document extractions this period
- Estimated overage charges (if any)
Overage alerts
When you approach your client limit (around 80% usage), a banner appears on your dashboard warning you. If you exceed the limit, the banner updates to show your current overage charges.
